I love shooting at the Seaport. My biggest gripe at shooting there is that in the pit there's three giant speakers right in front of the stage so I can never get a close-wide shot of a band unless they move out and step on those speakers. Fortunately for this show, the speakers were dragged out so that there was enough space to squeeze in (albeit you have to be careful not to pull the cables connecting the speakers). I really wasn't expecting to get in there but another photog was blocking the angles I wanted (i.e. he was inside the space between the stage and speakers and I couldn't get my wide-angle shots). I decided to go in there and shoot until I got eventually yelled at by the sound guy. However, I did love the shots I got of Yacht! They're over at BV.

I occasionally shoot for the Riverdale Press and I was assigned this high school softball game last year. It was my first sports shoot. I thought it was pretty neat since I got a night game. Kennedy ended up getting clobbered by Lehman and I this pic sums it up.

Can't believe this is the first time I've ever been to the Mermaid Parade after living just an hour away from this place. Actually, I can believe it. Tons of photogs, first time I've seen someone with a photo vest aside from myself (I didn't wear it this time!), and the heat was unbearable. Great subjects though. Definitely worth coming early to shoot them line up.

Hi! Remember that Tragedy show at the Bowery where I got choked by a girl with my own neckstrap, let another girl get punched in the face, and my titanium glasses broke? Brooklyn Vegan finally posted the pics!
P.S. I'm particularly amused at how tact sharp the Sigma 12-24mm 4.5-5.6 lens got this. Definitely gotta be working close to get it to work like that!
